Bowmore 1957 was created by MacNiels
Bowmore 1957, 54 Years Old is the oldest ever Bowmore and the the oldest Islay single malt ever released to the public.
Bottles No. 1 and No. 2 will be offered at a public auction at esteemed international auction house Bonhams in Edinburgh on Oct 10 and in New York City on Oct 28 with a minimum reserve set at £100,000 per bottle (approx. $155,000). All net proceeds from both sales will be donated to five Scottish charities.

Blev vist nok ikke solgt da den ikke opnåede minimumsprisen. Så sparede jeg da også lige 85000£

Hvad er det der så specielt ved den udover den har lagt lang tid på et fad og dermed kræver (for) meget opmærksomhed?
Tit og ofte er det ikke de helt gamle whiskies der vinder ved en vertikalsmagning.
Spar os for indpakningen og sælg den til 300 £

Så kunne man jo godt have rakt hånden op og budt GBP 90.000, hvis de ikke ville sælge under GBP 100,000
