Fadet er et american sherry oak cask der blev fyldt i november 1950 og er den hidtil anden ældste aftapning af Macallan siden destilleriet blev grundlagt i 1824
"This rich cherry coloured whisky has a strong treacle toffee opening leading into raisin and blood orange. Layers of sweet ginger figs and cigar leaf in viscous suspension are followed by woody oak flavours. It is polished yet shows the complexity of its age."

Rich cherry
Nose:
Rich and aromatic. Initial burst of treacle/toffee opens up to uncover raisin and blood orange and, deeper still, aromas of apple, sprinkled with ginger, cinnamon and chocolate. Layers of dark vanilla embellished by soft burnished oak.
Palate:
Rich dried fruits, with raisin strongly to the fore. Viscous layers of sweet ginger, figs and cigar leaf, before the oak emerges, polished yet showing the complexity of age.
Finish:
Long and embracing.
